The Birth of DitchRide: A Journey of Empathy and Innovation
Sometimes, the most transformative ideas are born from personal challenges and a drive to make things better. This was the case for the founder of DitchRide, a former business strategist in the bustling City of Calgary. When a career transition led him to take up driving for a popular rideshare company, he found himself experiencing firsthand the immense struggles faced by drivers in Alberta—and across Canada.
What he witnessed was more than just the grind of long hours and low earnings. It was the untold story of hardworking individuals, many of whom were immigrants, juggling unpredictable incomes and relentless schedules while striving to provide for their families. As he listened to their stories, he realized the magnitude of the problem—and the untapped opportunity to make a difference.
